Seo Hee Ham kicked off the vacation weekend with the very best efficiency of her profession.
Ham, the reigning ROAD FC ladies’s atomweight champion, scored a devastating first-round knockout of Invicta FC contender Jinh Yu Frey to efficiently defend her title at ROAD FC 45 in Seoul, South Korea. A former UFC strawweight, Ham has flourished since dropping again all the way down to 105 kilos, and that run continued Saturday when she downed Frey with a depraved left hand at the Grand Hilton Convention Center. The official time of the stoppage was 4:40 of the opening spherical.
Watch Ham’s ending sequence beneath.
Ham (17-8) has now gained back-to-back contests by KO/TKO at atomweight since departing the UFC’s 115-pound ranks with a 1-3 Octagon report.
Frey (6-3), in the meantime, sees her run of dangerous luck in championship fights proceed. The 32-year-old American suffered a defeat in her bid for the Invicta FC atomweight title in Sept. 2016 when her contest towards Ayaka Hamasaki was controversially stopped due to a second-round cut.
The full struggle video of Ham vs. Frey (and the whole thing of ROAD FC 45) may be seen beneath, in addition to Frey’s post-fight assertion.
Well, with a heavy heart I’m posting to say if you weren’t already watching, I lost my second bid for a world title. I don’t have any excuses. I had a great camp, the weight cut was fine, and I was injury free. Ham just had my number. I lived my worst nightmare, which was getting stopped with all my friends and family watching. The worst happened, but in spite of that, life still goes on. I’m still here, healthy, and getting to spend my Christmas in Korea. Thanks for all the kind words of support, and have a Merry Christmas.
