Google Ads Specialist – South Africa

Role summary

A Google Ads specialist is a digital marketing professional responsible for managing and optimising pay-per-click (PPC) advertising campaigns on the Google Ads platform. Their main focus is to create, launch, and analyse campaigns to achieve specific marketing goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and manage comprehensive Google Ads campaigns across Search, Display, and YouTube channels.
• Conduct keyword research and selection for pay-per-click campaigns to optimise reach and effectiveness.
• Monitor and analyse performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimisation and improvement.
• Manage budget allocation and bid strategy to maximise return on investment (ROI).
• Create compelling ad copy and optimise landing pages for ad campaigns.
• Stay up-to-date with Google Ads updates, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve campaign performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SEO, content marketing, and web design, to ensure cohesive digital marketing strategies.
• Prepare and present detailed campaign performance reports to stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, insights, and recommendations for future strategies.

Required

• Proven experience managing Google Ads campaigns with a strong track record of achieving targets. Case studies will be needed 
• Comprehensive understanding of Google Ads platform, including Search, Display, and YouTube advertising.
• Proficient in Google Analytics and other analytics tools to monitor and evaluate campaign performance.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to generate data-driven insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
• Certification in Google Ads
