OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY

Fox TV StationsFOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Televisions Stations is actively searching for a Technical SEO Product Manager. This position requires a high level of passion and skill as you help to improve the organic traffic for FTS’s suite of local news-focused websites. The qualified candidate will assist in designing, reviewing and implementing projects aimed at improving our sites’ ranking, organic visibility and traffic. We are seeking a creative, driven, passionate individual to fill this key role in our team. This position will play an important role in each and every web delivery for FTS and have a voice to advocate for strategic enhancements for FOX overall.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive SEO uptake and understanding within FTS.

  • Advise and support Technical SEO best practices for FTS Desktop web, mobile web, and AMP experiences.

  • Review engineering work prior to release to ensure SEO best practices compliance.

  • Advise and support Editorial and content SEO best practices.

  • Develop hypothesis-driven campaigns designed to maximize performance of SEO initiatives.

  • Monitor sites to confirm all SEO technical best practices are being followed.

  • Help create & maintain optimization plans by collecting ideas, prioritizing projects based on the potential impact it will have and communicating the list to all key stakeholders.

  • Work with the Business Intelligence Teams to monitor success metrics, interpret test results, and report key findings and recommendations.

  • Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting.

  • Additional duties as deemed necessary and appropriate.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience delivering SEO solutions and a proven track record.
  • A passion for SEO (and learning more about SEO).
  • On-Page Optimization best practices (Title, META descriptions, content, etc.).
  • Off-Page Optimization tactics (Linkbuilding & Content Promotion)
  • Command of Google’s Core Web Vitals and an understanding of how to drive actionable improvements in this area.
  • Understanding of Google’s core algorithm & major updates: Panda, Penguin, Hummingbird, etc.
  • Proficient at both Excel (especially formulas, vlookups & pivot tables) and PowerPoint
  • SEO Tools: GSC, Schema Validator, Mobile Friendliness, Fetch & Render
  • Knowledge of Adobe Analytics.
  • Working knowledge of various SEO keyword research and analysis.
  • General understanding of online marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Must be organized with a keen eye for details.
  • Ability to create stakeholder relationships and delivering in a matrix organization.
  • Minimum 5+ years related work experience.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $115,000.00-125,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
