May 21, 2021 – Nevada City Rancheria Nisenan Tribe and California Heritage: Indigenous Research Project Presents ‘UBA SEO – NISENAN ARTS AND CULTURE. ‘UBA SEO opens this weekend in our new area in downtown Nevada City the place we’ll characteristic gallery reveals, retail, and workshop area. It is our want to deliver genuine Native American artwork and training to our neighborhood whereas specializing in Native California artists. We are excited to ask the general public in for a particular exhibit this weekend throughout our pre-opening. ‘UBA SEO is one other superb step towards elevating the visibility of the Nevada City Rancheria and our continued combat to have our federal recognition restored. We are excited to share two exhibits on this exhibit on mortgage from The Judith Lowry Collection.

The Dawn of the World
This exhibit options artwork made by the Works Progress Administration Federal Art Project. Both artists featured on this exhibit have been non-native, but their artwork intimately captures a number of Creation tales of California Indians.
